R&A Scallop Gear is manufactured in our workshop: R&A Fabrication and Engineering Ltd at Kirkcudbright Harbour, in south west Scotland. R&A Scallop Gear, which was formerly known as Kirkcudbright Scallop Gear, formed over 40 years ago for the production of scallop gear and the maintenance of the fishing fleet in Kirkcudbright Harbour. We supply throughout Scotland, the UK and Europe.

Our scallop dredges have been developed over the last 40 years, to provide hardwearing and reliable scallop gear for our customers. We provide the complete requirements from nuts and bolts, to tow-bars and dredges. With part of our workshop set-up for producing the gear, we carry some stock and have our own standard range of scallop dredges. We can also fabricate to suit customer’s own specification and requirements.
